“Service is the virtue that has distinguished the great of all times and which they will be remembered by. It places a mark of nobility upon its disciples. It is the dividing line which separates the two great groups of the world–those who lift and those who lean, those who contribute and those who only consume. How much better it is to give than to receive. Service in any form is comely and beautiful. To give encouragement, to impart sympathy, to show interest, to banish fear, to build self-confidence and awaken hope in the heart of others, in short–to love them and to show it –is to render the most precious service.”

Dear Sister West, Hi! Our family continues to LOVE your web pages & I'm wondering if you could facilitate something for me? Our son, Elder Thomas Patton, has been transferred to the Mission Office, as you know. I e-mail Tom late every Sunday night & look forward to his Monday a.m. e-mail like a Christmas present!! He tells us that he has been asked to officiate in the baptism of Gezette this week-end and is in charge of creating the program & in general is SO excited to know of her commitment & is very Honored to have been asked by her. What I'm wondering is whether you would possibly be able to take a few pictures of this great event for Tom & even highlight this in your fabulous web pages?? We would love to see him in your pages as this is a hallmark event for him & so meaningful! He tells us he is still in your Zone, but I don't know if you'd be free to do this...He hasn't asked, although we know he thinks So highly of you - it's me who is asking. Or perhaps someone else might have a digital to be able to take several pictures, as we've never seen him dressed in white to perform this sacred ordinance of baptism, yet. I have 4 teenage daughters who have good friends on Facebook who at times have shown some of their most memorable mission experiences & a few picture the missionary standing next to their grateful, newly-converted friend/friends anticipating entering the Waters of Baptism in the next few minutes! To close, our family is just wondering if this would be possible because it marks such a good accomplishment & honorable event for Thomas!! He has told us that he loves to proselyte - finding joy in conversing on the train, in the parks, the street sweeps and even holding his white poster with Elder Low on the 4th!! That was one of my favorite pictures of him. He adores Elder Low. Also wondering if there is any way to obtain copies of the px of Thomas which have been posted on your great web pages?? Especially the one with Elder Low holding the 'Meet the Mormons' poster!? Love, Margie Patton P.S. I ask about obtaining several px of Thomas knowing how special the baptisms are, knowing that we live in times of doubt with many, unforturnately, and that Thomas is so honored this cute Gezette has asked him to officiate and that she is accepting the Gospel!!!!
